The Ngaoundéré industrial zone, which spans 115 hectares and has 18 clients, is situated in the Ngaoundéré II district and the capital of the VINA department in the Adamaoua region. Near the air force airbase and the airport, it has a boundary with National Road No. 1. The 2.23-kilometer road network is primarily made up of dirt roads. However, some of these roads are currently undergoing minimal surfacing work. New roads must be built in the area, and the existing ones that are being surfaced need to have their wearing courses strengthened.
Located in the Mfoundi department and in particular in the political capital of Cameroon, the industrial zone is located in the districts of Yaoundé IIIème in NSAM and Yaoundé IVème in MVAN on both banks of the Mfoundi River. This industrial zone covers a total area of 316ha and is home to more than 158 customers. The road network of the Yaoundé-sud industrial zone is 14.173 kilometers long and is classified into three different categories of roads, namely; the National RN10/RN3 and its ramps with a total length of 6.96 km; the PADY project roads with a total length of 3.367 km, built around the MFOUNDI canal and the internal service roads with a total length of 3.846km.
The internal service roads which are the main concern in this area are differentiated into three types of developments whose linearities are; 1.6 km of tarred roads, 0.166 km of concrete roads and 2.08 km of unpaved roads. This industrial zone has a significant deficit in infrastructure and in particular internal service roads. The need for construction of new roads is essential, many plots of land, although allocated, remain inaccessible to customers, and unusable.
The region’s two industrial zones are KOUME-BONIS, which occupies a big 104-hectare plot of land in the Bertoua Ier district, and MANDJOU-KANO, which occupies a 120-hectare plot of land in the Mandjou district. These recently developed areas do not currently have any routable infrastructure. Nonetheless, a Cabinet agrée has conducted technical studies aimed at arranging these areas, and the study reports are available.
There are two industrial zones in the area: MANDJOU-KANO, which spans 120 hectares on a superficie in the arrondissement of Mandjou, and KOUME-BONIS, which is big and occupies 104 hectares in the arrondissement of Bertoua Ier. These recently established areas currently lack routine infrastructure. However, a Cabinet agree has conducted technical studies looking at the layout of these areas, and the study reports are available.
Located at the eastern entrance to the Wouri department and in the Douala III district, the BASSA industrial zone covers a total area of 150 ha and has 120 customers.
It is also served by a 7.3 km long road network consisting of; 5.05 km of tarmac roads, 0.35 km of cobblestone roads and 1.9 km of dirt roads.
The asphalt roads built in 1985 have deteriorated over time due to the density of traffic and the aging of the infrastructure. This deterioration, it must be emphasized, is the cause of significant traffic disruption and accidents, particularly at the entrance to the area and at the main intersections. And those of the rehabilitation of 5.05 km of roads. Moreover, the MAZI Bassa agency develops strategies aimed at making the area attractive and competitive.
Located in the capital of the MEZAM department, the BAMENDA industrial zone, newly built in 2017, covers an area of 44ha .
The area is fully serviced and developed, with a road and sanitation network with a total length of 2,507 km. The roads are fully paved.
Located in the locality of the same name in the district of TIKO in the department of FAKO, the industrial zone of OMBE is on the banks of the National Road No. 3, halfway between Douala (60km) and the port city of LIMBE, capital of the department of Fako (12 km).
The area covers an area of 133 ha , houses 25 customers and was commissioned in the late 1970s. The road network of the OMBE industrial zone is mainly made up of dirt roads with a total length of 4.00 km. Due to the heavy rainfall in this region of the country and the nature of the soil, these dirt roads are experiencing significant deterioration and require regular recharging and re-profiling.
